Days of Remembrance Ceremony

All are welcome and encouraged to attend the upcoming City of Alexandria ceremony to commemorate Yom Hashoah. Along with musical selections, remarks and cantorial selections from the clergy of Agudas Achim Congregation and Beth El Hebrew Congregation, a special guest speaker with share thoughts on remembrance.
Guest speaker: Dr. Elizabeth Barry White recently retired as historian and Research Director for the Holocaust Museum’s Center for the Prevention of Genocide. She spent a career at the U.S. Department of Justice working on investigations and prosecutions of Nazi criminals and other human rights violators. She served as deputy director and chief historian of the Office of Special Investigations and as deputy chief and chief historian of the Human Rights and Special Prosecutions Section. Her most recent book, “The Counterfit Countess,” was published in 2024 with Joanna Sliwa
