Barry Nove grew up in St. Louis, Missouri. He was formerly the Executive Director of Oseh Shalom, a Reconstructionist congregation in Laurel, MD. He has served the Jewish community for over thirty years, having served as a small city Executive Director of a Jewish Federation early in his career and at six other Jewish Federations, including UJA-Federation of New York (in White Plains), the Jewish Federation of Toledo, the Jewish Federations of Dayton, Ohio, and later St. Paul, Minnesota, and at the Jewish Federation of Greater Washington. In these roles he has been a campaign director, endowment director, run leadership training programs, and much more.
